St. Mark Catholic School

Our hands-on financial literacy course introduces middle schoolers to the topic of money and its role in the economy! We will cover the meaning and history of money, foreign currencies, and banks. The middle section of the course will take a step back and focus students' attention on their individual needs and wants. We will learn about earning money, budgeting, and what it means to separate needs from wants. Then, we will move on to saving, borrowing, and investing, and how understanding these basics can help students achieve their goals. Every lesson plan is presented in a fun and engaging way, allowing students to work in teams, practice their executive function skills, and complete a fun hands-on project every class.
